About State Institute of Educational Technology (SIET)
The SIET for Kerala was approved by the Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India and began operations in 1999. The State Institute of Educational Technology (SIET) of Kerala is an autonomous institution that is part of the Kerala government's General Education Department. SIET Kerala is one of the seven SIETs in the country. The Institute's Rules and Regulations have been approved by the State Cabinet. The Executive Committee comprises 16 members, including the Minister of Education as Chairman and the Secretary of General Education as Vice Chairman. A full-time Director is in charge of day-to-day administration and general management. The institution's major goal is to improve class activities by utilising educational technology. SIET Kerala develops digital media such as video, animation, and interactive software. It also gives teachers with training in order to equip them with digital resource management skills.
Tech Talent Program @ ACARR Phase II
The two-day technology workshop in Atmospheric Studies for SIET's Kerala "Tech Talent- NAVA KERALA SANKETHIKA VIDHYA PARISEELANAM. Phase II" is planned on November 02-04, 2022 at Advanced Centre for Atmospheric Research, Cochin University of Science and Technology. This programme would provide advanced technical expertise in atmospheric sciences as well as the most up-to-date atmospheric instrument technologies to selected 8th and 9th level SC/ST students in all Model Residential Schools in Kerala.
