PhD in 1982 in Microwave antennas and joined as lecturer in Cochin University of science and technology in 1985. Became professor in this University in 1995. Was head of department of Electronics from 2004 to 2010 and Dean, faculty of technology during 2010 to 2013. A co investigator of a DST sponsored mega project for Development of an ST Radar having a total outlay of 25 crores . Microwave antennas, microstrip antennas and radar systems are major areas of research interest.
